General
Originals brings together the essence of Far Off Objects. It encompasses all our product lines, uniting them through a shared commitment to material honesty, thoughtful design, and lasting presence. Each piece reflects our belief in creating objects that are original in spirit, grounded in craft, and made to endure — regardless of form, material, or expression.
We work closely with local artisans and artisans across the world to develop our original forms, each shaped with a deep understanding of function, material, and technique. Once the piece has been refined through a meticulous review process, it is entrusted to heritage craftsmen to be faithfully reinterpreted with generational expertise.
We are actively working toward becoming fully sustainable. Our teak wood is sustainably sourced with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification to ensure wood is organically and ethically sourced. Our "Reclaim It" collection is purely made of reclaimed wood. Every piece is shipped in eco-conscious packaging and thoughtfully delivered to your home.
While we’re proud of the steps we’ve taken, we know there’s more to do—and we’re committed to getting there. If you see something we could improve, we’d love to hear from you at MeAndFOO@roddamcorp.com.

Unlike other chemically processed wooden furniture, our teak wood furniture is void of chemicals.
Each teak piece responds uniquely to its environment. Differences in sunlight, rainfall, and placement mean no two pieces will age in exactly the same way — making every item distinctly yours.
Natural expansion and contraction occur as teak responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Minor surface cracks or grain movement are normal and part of the wood’s natural behavior outdoors. These details add to the authenticity and individuality of each piece.
Our Outdoor teak is unpolished and chemical-free. Allowing the wood to age naturally ensures it breathes, adapts to its environment, and develops a genuine patina.
Reclaim It products are made from reclaimed materials that have lived a previous life. As a result, each piece carries visible signs of its history — natural markings, nail marks, holes, cracks, openings/gaps, surface variations, and wear that reflect years of use and exposure. These details are not defects, but integral to the character and authenticity of the piece.
Buyers can expect no two items to be identical. Differences in texture, tone, grain, and surface marks are inherent and intentional, making each piece unique. While forms are carefully designed and craftsmanship remains consistent, the material’s past is preserved rather than erased. Choosing ReclaimIt means choosing individuality, sustainability, and objects that tell a story shaped by time rather than perfection.
Product Care
We advise dusting your wooden furniture, art, decor and mirrors often and if necessary wiping with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth.
Our teak wood furniture is sealed for everyday use, however if a glass is left unattended water marks will appear. We’re gritty at Roweam and patina makes us happy. We make furniture to use, so sit and enjoy.
It’s never recommended to use harsh chemicals on leather. Our leather is organic which allows for movement in color variation and texture. Frequently dusting leather will remove minute particles before they settle. A quick wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth will remove settled particles. Avoid handling leather items with dirty hands, oil and residue will transfer to leather easily. It’s recommended to remove dirt build-up once a year with a leather cleaner. It’s best practice to never leave a wet item on leather as it will distort the material.
Do not iron or steam.
Teak is known for its exceptional outdoor durability. While the surface may weather and develop texture over time, the structural integrity remains intact.
Teak is a natural material, and when exposed to sun, rain, and air, it gradually changes in appearance. Over time, the warm golden tones naturally soften into a silver-grey patina.
Natural expansion and contraction occur as teak responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Minor surface cracks or grain movement are normal and part of the wood’s natural behavior outdoors. These details add to the authenticity and individuality of each piece.
All soft goods including sofa cushions and slipcovers are recommended dry clean only. Do not machine wash.
You may use a steamer on medium to remove wrinkles. Do not iron.
If you find your tight back sofa is wrinkling, a simple swipe of the hand and fabric tuck in the arm will remove those lines. Our cushion internals will settle over time. To keep them fresh it’s recommended to fluff and pat them to organize the contents.
For any soft good or upholstered items, it’s best to use a damp cloth to pat out the stain, do not rub. Never use harsh chemicals to remove stains. There are companies we recommend for eco-friendly fabric treating and stain removal services. Reach out for more details.
